Characters make the Story…

Hi everyone –

I’m excited to be here on the Qwillery today!!!

My life has been a crazy whirlwind for weeks now with the new release of my new Moon Series!!! Moonlight hit the streets July 15th and it’s been so fun to finally be able to share this book with readers…

This book not only introduces Adam and Lana, but also the rest of the Pack up in Reno, Nevada. Each wolf has his only personality and his own view of life in the Pack. But as a paranormal romance, I had to be sure I kept my focus on the hero and heroine so it forced me to create character that I hope readers will be able to connect with and relate to quickly.

That’s where character quirks come in. They don’t have to be major, but a small quirk can help make a character more memorable and lifelike. We all have quirks, some larger than others, but ask any friend you’ve known for a long time and they can probably give you a list of your quirks. ☺

As an example, one of Lana’s was gnawing on her bottom lip when she was nervous, and Adam, my werewolf hero wear a silver bullet around his neck and has Werewolves of London as his ring tone. ☺ For me, these little touches made the characters feel more human and a little less fictional.

Since Adam is a horse trainer and own a ranch, I had a blast also including some horses that were on the ranch that I grew up on. So the quirks don’t stop with human characters! LOL

So do you have any quirks you’re willing to share? Have you given any of your fictional characters quirks? I hope you’ll share…

Lisa

I’m very chatty online, so feel free to connect! ☺

About Moonlight

Moonlight
Moon 1
Entangled Edge, July 15, 2013
eBook, 342 pages

Rancher Adam Sloan is more than meets the eye. As the heir to his Pack, the sexy werewolf’s biggest challenge is keeping his kin’s true nature under wraps. But a group of jaguar shifters threatens to reveal the pack, blasting into town killing humans in plain sight. And when he smells one at the local diner, his standing orders are to take her out.

Lana Turpin doesn’t realize she’s a moving target. Raised in the foster system, she only knows that she blacks out during the new moon and wakes up without remembering a thing. But now she’s being tracked by some strange organization that wants her back–even though she’s never stepped foot inside their compound. And the stranger across the diner is watching her like an enemy.

It should be a simple mission for Adam, but when he touches the frustratingly beautiful Lana, his inner wolf howls…mate. Now, the two must find and stop the people who hunt her…and Adam must keep his own family from killing the only woman he will ever love.
